Broadcast Components announces the successful award of low and high power FM transmitter rollout and Digital studio deployment for the Adventist Radio network in Papua New Guinea.

The 28 locations will be deployed with either 1KW or 30W FM Transmitters. The deployment included supporting subsystems of Broadcast Cabinets, UPS, RF Cable assemblies, lightning protection and antenna systems.

The two studio installation Broadcast Components offered was based on an Audio Over IP (AoIP) backbone turnkey solution designed around Dante and the AEQ Capitol IP console. Key features being reliability, remote control capability, operational flexibility and ease of use.

The studio solution and production suite systems were designed to be deployed with minimal hands on installation once in country. All Ethernet, audio and GPIO connection were pre-terminated and fully tested prior to shipment. The studios support phone functionality, analogue + AES + USB + AOIP inputs and outputs including the capability of remote control and monitoring. The equipment includes-

Broadcast Components National Sales Manager, Sean Pritchard travelled to Papua New Guinea and supplied high level technical support, providing audio routing and monitoring paths per the local staffs’ operational requirements. Training of the technical team was conducted on the studio design with a focus on DANTE implementation and the routing capabilities of the AEQ Capitol console.

The Director of Broadcast Components, Shane Pritchard stated: “We are delighted to be able to support the Adventist Church in providing their voice communications solutions in this region. We were able to offer different system configurations, allowing a tailored solution to meet their budget and performance expectations.

Broadcast Components design was selected and approved by Adventist Church Technology Services based on the robust, cost effective design and relationship with Broadcast Components. Supplying the complete system ensured a single point of contact. This design is the initial rollout with additional sites to be added with further funding. The network is satellite fed, with contributions possible from the Broadcast Components supplied studio in Lae, or from Sydney and USA using IP codecs.
